Please pray for the Shepherd of the Bay and Peace Lutheran Mission Team as they head to Guatemala for a short team mission from 3/22 - 3/30. Pray for the 11 widows and their families we will be serving plus our 5 sponsor families we will be visiting. Pray that the people of Guatemala see the love of God thru us.

We wish you the blessings of abundant life as we enter into this 40 day period of reflection and the re-engagement of the Christian life. Join us this evening for the Ash Wednesday service, in which we will confess our sins, hear the Word, reflect on Christian practices, receive the ashen cross on our foreheads, and come to the table of life. Soup buffet is from 5:30 to 6:15, and worship begins at 6:15.

So proud of these young people. So far they have raised $5000 of their $7001 goal for world hunger. They will be collecting money until February 6, so feel free to support them. They fasted throughout last weekend, learned about hunger and hunger related issues, and served in the community and at our church. It’s the second to the last day of confirmation camp. Every day we begin with worship and then spend the rest of the morning in bible study and group interaction. Then the students have the afternoon and evening to enjoy camp activities. It’s been a great week.
